This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, we use your message and address to reply.

The permit dataset

The dataset holds building permit records that government offices publish or release as public records. Some records name people, such as property owners, applicants and contractors, because the issuing office lists them. We do not add personal information from other sources. When we ask an office for records, we tell it that personal contact details of private individuals may be redacted.

Corrections and removal

To ask for a correction or removal, tell us the issuing office, the permit number or address, and the change you are asking for by writing to [email protected]. If our copy differs from the office's record, we correct it. If you are a private individual named in a record and ask us to remove your name from our copy, we will remove it. The original record stays with the issuing office.
